I love sculpture - to look at and make. I like to use alternative media such as paper, string and wood, etc. etc. etc. But, when I look at other sculptures I do long to be able to work wonders in precious stone and huge blocks of wood.

Take this picture for instance of a sculpture by Sir Jacob Epstein. It makes me excited from all angles. Such a hard substance such as this alabaster is transformed into a shiny smooth fleshy substance which melts my heart and ignites my passion. I like they way he created what I think are two bases so that the sculpture can be lain with the couple standing or the man on top!!!
