Deadlines looming for Blog, Studio Practice Final Piece with Evaluation and hand in for Sketchbook and body of work.

Hint: Breathe, prioritise and focus.

Tasks for today:

  • Perform cosmetic surgery on ‘bog-man’

  • Print photos, put in sketchbook, evaluate & annotate

  • Put above in blog

  • Research and read.To be able to do this after a good days work would feel like a luxury.

I realise that my ‘bog-man’ is very similar in style to my previous ‘vine-man’. It wasn’t intended but I feel it is a valuable contribution to my practice as I am using different materials with alternative properties to replicate a similar theme. It is light and hollow but the pva’d tissue has developed a more aged patina and fortunately become intensely hard and brittle. I have a love and hate relationship with it; first I loved it, then I wasn’t sure and rather disliked it, now it is growing on me again. I have remit to create a couple more similar figures but want to do some re-figuring of its anatomy. I would rather have one figure that I am happy with rather than three that I despise.
