Paper from wood to human form
Dismantling, cleaning and preparing the studio for our 2nd Year End of Term Exhibition. Paint in my hair, face, and clothes yesterday. Facing the same again today to reform the space and turn a cluttered, busy working studio into an elegant, spacious gallery. It is the height of juggling doing that, working on the ‘mac’ to complete assignments and then at home working on my second paper sculpture. This one is formed on my own dimensions and I feel that the looser application of tissue paper so that it hasn’t got such a hard ‘laquered’ appearance and thus portrays a more feminine appearance. Like the other one it is made with wire and tissue paper. This second one has been made in daily doses and being methodical and persistent.
